What Makes Us Unique

A registry of the world-firsts in tokenized metals data. Last reviewed: June 26, 2026.

TrueSource Metals is not the biggest metals glossary in the world — the U.S. Bureau of Mines Dictionary of Mining, Mineral and Related Terms (1968) carried ~55,000 entries. We are not the biggest crypto glossary either — CoinMarketCap Academy and Crypto.com Glossary are larger in pure crypto coverage.

What we are is the first independent reference layer specifically for tokenized metals. Seven publicly verifiable firsts are listed below. Every claim links to its on-site proof and to the primary source it rests on.

Editorial standard. Every figure, definition, and ranking on TSM is sourced from a primary reference — LME, LBMA, LPPM, SHFE, CME, USGS, ICSG, ILZSG, IPA, World Bank, IMF, OECD, FATF, ESMA, SEC, MAS, VARA, FCA, FINMA, JFSA, HKMA, IOSCO, BCBS, and individual producers’ annual reports. We call this principle OTSFA — One True Source for All. Read the doctrine →

1. TS-GMRI family — first published-methodology index family for tokenized metals

The first transparent, methodology-published index family covering the tokenized metals market: 19 members across precious, base, battery, PGM, royalty-streamer, ETF-wrapper, and tolling slots. Methodology document is SHA-256 locked (7ede98c4aa01ec7ad32ec7ebe3a62b306326631965a98732e5521325417cb1bd); the underlying universe is public; constituent rules, weighting, and re-base triggers are versioned and auditable.

2. TruePremium — first dual-view tokenized-metals premium tracker

The first public premium / discount tracker for tokenized precious metals running a dual live-vs-live and fix-vs-fix view simultaneously. Live tab anchors to CME front-month futures (GC=F, SI=F, PL=F, PA=F via Yahoo Finance); fix tab anchors to LBMA / LPPM daily fixes and the CF Benchmarks PAXGUSD_RR regulated UK BMR benchmark for PAXG. Seven tokens covered: PAXG, XAUT, KAU, XAUM, PGOLD, KAG, XAGM.

3. OTSFA — first explicitly named editorial doctrine

One True Source for All. The first explicitly stated, page-attributed editorial principle in commodities reference media: every number, definition, ranking, or producer entry must trace to a primary source — not to a press article, not to another aggregator, not to an LLM hallucination. Implementation is visible on every metal page (LME / LBMA / SHFE / USGS data-source pills), every glossary term (primary-source URL field), and every producer card (annual-report citation).

4. Cross-domain combo glossary — first to stitch metals + tokenization in one reference

The only free public glossary that stitches together metals + tokenization + regulation + ESG + logistics + finance under one search index, with a primary-source URL on every term. We do not claim to be the largest by raw count — the USGS Bureau of Mines 1968 dictionary held ~55,000 metals entries, and CoinMarketCap / Crypto.com hold more crypto entries. We are the first to combine both domains under OTSFA attribution.

Proof: /tokenization-glossary (119 tokenization terms) · hub.truesourcemetals.com/glossary/ (960 metals terms across 8 domains)

5. TrueAtlas — first interactive multi-layer free world map for the metals stack

The first free interactive world atlas layering the full metals value chain on a single canvas: USGS reserves, producers, mines, smelters, refineries, ports & trade routes, LBMA / LPPM vaults, mints, free zones, and 60+ universities with metals / mining / metallurgy programmes. Five tiers, eight grouped sections, deep-linkable to individual metals (e.g. copper-producers, gold-mines, platinum-smelters).

6. Independent reference layer — first non-issuer / non-exchange / non-custodian data platform

The first data platform for tokenized metals that is structurally independent of every counterparty class: not an issuer, not an exchange, not a custodian, not a broker, not a wallet, not an index licensor. No revenue-share with issuers. No paid placement. No PR-cycle list inclusion. Coverage is symmetric across every token, exchange, and custodian regardless of commercial relationship (we have none).

7. TS-Vitals / TS-RPM / TS-Activity — first public composite health index for the tokenized-metals ecosystem

The first public, daily-refreshed composite vitals index for the tokenized-metals ecosystem. Combines a MarketFactor (humans 7-day rolling), ReaderFactor (top-metal demand), and AIFactor (verified AI-bot crawl rate — PerplexityBot, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, OAI-SearchBot, Google-Extended, Bytespider, Amazonbot, ChatGPT-User). Series A baseline locked at ISO Week 25 / 2026. Daily snapshot published with no absolute numbers — only rank & relative heat to honour the Reader Pulse honesty rules.

8. What we do not claim

Honesty rule: superlatives we have seen claimed elsewhere and explicitly do not claim for ourselves:

9. Verification & corrections

If you can document a public reference platform that delivered any of the seven firsts above earlier than TrueSource Metals, please write to [email protected] with the source URL and date of first publication. We will correct this page within one business cycle and credit the prior source.

The principle here is the same as everywhere on TSM: OTSFA — One True Source for All. If we are wrong, we adjust.
